Welcome the Miracles

By Sri Harold Klemp

“Irene,” a student of ECK, was on her way to a store when she saw a sign that read Garage Sale. It sparked her curiosity, so she checked it out. To her disappointment, there were mostly items for babies and little children. Not much for Irene, a senior citizen.

But, over to one side, she spotted a child’s rocker. For some reason, it just struck her. Then the quiet voice of the Inner Master said, “Buy this rocker, and it will give great comfort.” Curious, Irene bought it.

That night, her daughter came over. Her daughter is a teacher at a special-needs school. Irene happened to think of the rocker, which was still in her car. She asked her daughter, “Would you be able to use this?”

Her daughter agreed to take it to the school.

The next day, after lunchtime, all the kids were supposed to nap. But there was an autistic child who would never settle down. He just roamed the room in circles. Never any rest. The teachers had to keep a close watch on him. However, on that day his eye caught sight of the rocker on the far side of the room.

He went over to it, sat in it, and rocked and rocked and rocked. It felt so good.

When Irene heard about this, she had her confirmation—indeed the rocker was giving great comfort. Such are the simple ways Divine Spirit finds willing helpers to pass along a blessing.

The ECK teachings offer spiritual exercises to enliven your personal connection with the God Current. With a little practice, you will come to trust this endless wave of love and guidance as you navigate your days.

Enjoy the miracles!

Aerobridge to Love

Here is the story of one young man’s surprise encounter with the power of divine love—Soul learning to love as God loves.

I’m a manager of the cabin crew for an international airline. Part of my role is to greet passengers as they board the aircraft.

On one particular flight, an elderly lady with a cane slowly and tentatively approached the door. The floor of the aerobridge connecting to the aircraft was about two inches lower than the threshold of the plane. This would present no problem to an able-bodied passenger, but to this lady it posed a major hurdle.

Each time she lifted her foot to take the small step, she lost her balance. I quickly became aware she was having a problem.

I extended my arm. “Let me help you, madam,” I said. With that offer, I consciously opened my heart to God and declared myself a vehicle, to be of service in any way I could to the best of my ability.

What happened next caught me by surprise. The lady gazed up at me with eyes that were deep pools of love.

She looked at me, Soul to Soul.

In that moment, time and space collapsed. I saw this woman in her youth. Young, bright, and energetic, she was bounding up a set of stairs, two steps at a time, holding not one but two young children in her arms. She was at once a loving wife and caring mother, leading a healthy, active life.

I could barely contain the enormity of the divine love I was feeling. It was as if God had opened the floodgates of heaven. Right there in front of all the passengers, I broke into a torrent of joyous tears.

My elderly passenger, in all her dignity, understood. “Thank you,” she said simply, and she moved toward her seat.

As I watched her, I felt as if God had returned more than a millionfold the little bit of love I had given.

Truly we can serve God and all of life, anywhere, at any time.

“So often you’ll hear me say, ‘Soul’s mission is to serve life.’

Basically, it’s helping people. It’s helping them do the things that they need to make life easier for them.

And in so doing, you are working for the Holy Spirit, for the good of other people. And you are doing much good for yourself.”

Miraculous Protection in the Operating Room

By Emmanuel Onyejiuwa

Several years ago, my wife was diagnosed with a massive growth of fibroid tissue in her womb. A severe and painful condition, the doctors recommended surgery.

We were reluctant to take such a serious step. But soon her pain increased, and she was unable to get out of bed. Eventually, we agreed to the surgery.

As she was wheeled into the operating room, I stayed behind and sat on a bench by the closed door. I knew I needed to surrender the outcome of the surgery into the hands of the ECK, the Holy Spirit.

I began to sing HU, the ancient love song to God, and opened my heart completely to the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ. Later, I learned my wife had done the same thing until she lost consciousness.

The operation was supposed to take at least two hours. So I was surprised when the door opened after fifteen minutes and the chief surgeon walked out, followed by other doctors. My wife was wheeled out of the operating room and back into the ward.

I wondered what was going on. Was the operation over already? None of the doctors or nurses would tell me what happened, so I went to find the chief surgeon.

When the chief surgeon saw me, his first words were “Please, thank God!”

Then he added, “I’ll thank God for you!”

As we sat down together, he explained.

Ready to make his first cut into my unconscious wife, the surgeon suddenly heard a voice.

“Look up!” It commanded.

He paused and looked up. To his shock and horror, the anesthesia was incorrectly set to a lethal amount, sending an overdose of the drug flowing into my wife’s sleeping body. Immediately, he stopped the operation.

If not for the voice, my wife would have died on the operating table.

“As a surgeon,” he said, “I always depend on God’s guidance. That is why you should give thanks to God!”

The operation was postponed, and my wife was discharged from the hospital the next day.

But there was more. We were about to witness another miracle of God’s love and protection.

Once home, all my wife’s symptoms vanished! We waited for the pain to recur, but it never did. Even the fibroid lumps disappeared, and nine years later she is still pain free.

This experience taught me that when we open ourselves to the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ with our whole heart, we can receive miraculous protection and healing. In every moment of life, the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ’s love is always there. It is so reassuring.

The Wrong-Number Miracle

By Jocelyne Durand

I’d had it in mind for a while to go to a human-resources agency to inquire about work possibilities. But when I got there, I saw neither a sign on the wall nor a door to go in. I gave up and decided I would use the internet to see what the place had to offer. But that failed too, so I just let go of the idea.

The next morning during contemplation, I gently focused on my wish for job opportunities. Just then the phone rang. I glanced at the caller-ID display and was perplexed to see the name of the very agency I had been trying to reach.

I answered and found the caller had dialed a wrong number. But instead of hanging up, I identified myself and asked, “Are you calling from the human-resources agency?” Yes, she said. I said, “Well this is a very interesting coincidence, for I’ve been trying to reach you for an appointment.” “Well, you have me now!” she replied, and we promptly arranged for an interview.

I could not believe it. The moment I surrendered, the ECK, Divine Spirit, made the needed connection through a “wrong” number! That is how much we are loved.

“Could You Sing That Song Again?”

By David Schmuckler

When my wife was pregnant with our daughter, we both looked forward to the joys of having a child. Throughout the pregnancy, things went well, until my wife went into labor.

During the delivery, our unborn child’s heart rate plummeted dramatically from its normal 150 to very dangerous levels, sometimes as low as 40.

The doctors and nurses didn’t know what to do, and of course, neither did I. It was difficult enough to see my wife in pain from the labor, and now our baby’s life was in danger.

There was nothing I could do except sing HU. HU is a form of prayer to God saying, “Thy will be done.”

So I began to sing HU out loud.

As I did, a strange thing happened. With every HU, the baby’s heart rate would go up into the normal range. When I stopped, it would go down.

I continued to sing HU for hours and hours. At times, I’d have to stop to rest, and the baby’s heart rate would stay high. Then it dropped again, and I’d start singing once more.

I knew that I couldn’t direct the HU. It’s a song of love to God, asking for God’s will to be done. But inwardly I did say that if it’s meant for this child to come into the world, I’d love for it to happen. And I kept singing.

My wife’s labor went on for twenty-four hours. After many hours, I had to stop singing for a while because I was so exhausted.

But the attending nurses had noticed the value of singing HU.

At one point while I was resting, one of the nurses noticed the baby’s heart rate dropping again. No matter what she or the other medical staff did, they couldn’t get it to go back up.

The nurse turned to me and asked, “Could you sing that song again?”

So I did, and the baby’s heartbeat sped up.

Inwardly, I knew the ECK was telling me that our daughter would be born, and somehow I was assisting. I continued to sing HU for the rest of the labor.

Eventually, our daughter was born, and I was incredibly grateful. I can’t even imagine what life would have been like without her.

This experience showed me the power of the HU to bring about a miracle. Even now, I still don’t fully understand it, but I know we were given a blessing from the ECK. HU is a gift from God, and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to be a vehicle for Its divine love.
