It was an especially cold winter day. Temperatures were far below the freezing point, as I sat alone in the hospital waiting for my daughter to be born.
My wife had gone into labor, so we immediately took her to the hospital. Then the contractions suddenly stopped. We waited and waited for them to start again, but nothing happened. It seemed as if our baby had chosen to delay her entry into this life.
After a while, the doctors suggested we might want to go home and wait until my wife went back into labor.
We hesitated, wondering what we should do. It was so cold out, and the contractions could begin again at any moment. We decided to stay at the hospital, knowing we would probably be waiting a long time before the baby was born. Now I tried to relax in my chair as I waited for my wife to eventually return from behind one of the many hospital doors.
Suddenly, a clear scene opened up in my Spiritual Eye. I was surprised at what I saw!
A group of beings were standing together in the inner worlds. Intuitively, I understood these Souls were a circle of friends. There was a feeling of light happiness among them.
After a few moments, one of the Souls left the circle and began drifting downward, saying Good-bye! We will meet again in some eighty years or so!
Everybody was joyful and laughing as the Soul left the group, and then the scene faded from my inner eye.
No sooner had the scene ended than shouts began on the hospital floor. Everybody was running toward one of the rooms.
I followed them and soon discovered my wife had gone into labor. Fifteen minutes later, my daughter, Olga, was born.
I had received a special gift. I was so grateful and honored to have the opportunity to witness that Soul’s farewell from the inner worlds who is now my precious daughter!
